Mono

is located in south-central Ontario, Canada, at the south-east corner of Dufferin County, Mono is a town that stretches from Highway 9 on its southern border to Highway 89 along its northern border. The Township of Amaranth borders it to the west, and the Township of Adjala-Tosorontio borders it to the east. Previously known as the Township of Mono, this rural community is characterized by rolling, tree-covered hills, streams, and creeks, which form the headwaters of three rivers - the Humber, Nottawasaga, and Credit. Most of the town is situated on high land relative to the rest of Southern Ontario, leading to its current slogan, "the heart of the headwaters."
